How it works
The details you want & those you don't
SnapEntry answers the phone so you don't have to
Rather than your intercom calling your phone directly, SnapEntry will answer the calls for you. This lets SnapEntry open the door for authorized visitors, and if they don't have a code, still fallback to calling you and your housemates.

Easy one-time set-up - no hardware needed
You'll receive a local virtual concierge phone number during sign up. Simply tell your building manager you've got a new buzz number, wait a day or three for them to confirm it's done, then try out SnapEntry for yourself. We think it's worth the wait.
Ready for a visitor? Grant entry securely and easily
Use SnapEntry to generate a secure entry link or code.
Send it to your friend, service worker or paste it into the delivery instructions at checkout.
When they arrive, they buzz you on the intercom and use the entry link or code to let themselves in securely.
The door opens, you receive a notification and your visitor enters.
FAQ
Your questions, answered.
Which intercom systems is SnapEntry compatible with? SnapEntry should work with any intercom system that calls your own phone number, like your cell phone, when a visitor arrives.

Older intercom systems that are hard-wired to your unit (with a receiver on the wall) are unfortunately incompatible with SnapEntry.

What door does SnapEntry open? SnapEntry will open whatever door is associated with the intercom, which in practice is the main entrance door to the apartment building. SnapEntry does not currently have a product to open the door to your apartment. Is there a SnapEntry app? SnapEntry is a web application - there is no app in the various app stores.

That being said, most modern browsers support installing web applications - which SnapEntry does support. What does this change?

  • Have an app on your homescreen
  • Hides the URL bar
  • Allows the status bar colour to match the SnapEntry application
  • On iOS, installing the application is required to receive notifications

Are there usage limits?

SnapEntry is intended for residential apartment usage, and for those cases, we expect usage limits to rarely be encountered. If we are seeing extremely excessive usage, we may reach out to understand your use-case.

Current limits are:

  • Up to 15 entry codes in-use at a time
  • Up to 3 users per location
  • Up to 2 managed locations per user
  • Up to 2 phone numbers per user

When will SnapEntry be available outside of Canada? We are not sure yet. We are focused on making a great product in Canada, likely with the USA following next. How can an entire apartment building adopt SnapEntry? For building managers, condo board members or ambitious residents interested in large-scale adoption, please reach to support to discuss potential options.
